I have a lot of ideas about certain issues that seem to be significantly different from the mainstream. Not all these thoughts are necessarily very important, but some are, and some are just fun to think about. Some are twisted. I don’t know if my ideas are original. Almost nothing is truly original; but it is still meaningful even if borrowed from and built on the shoulders of others. I will do my best not to just mimic the insights of others. That being said, I certainly have unoriginal values, beliefs and predispositions that inform all my ideas. One you will notice quickly is my faith in the importance of individual freedom for homo sapiens. Can’t prove it’s true but I believe it. I am happy to acknowledge my subjectivity here as well as my insistence that there is no such thing as objectivity. Everyone has values and beliefs that affect what they think is important. At least I hope so. People with no values can be dangerous.
Also, don’t expect great literature here; I’ll do my best, but if you want beautiful prose, read Kevin Perrin’s stuff.
One more introductory thought – I am very likely to offend just about everyone at some point. That is not my aim, but I am going to address controversial and sensitive topics and I have no intention of self-editing. No offense intended. Just because I don’t agree with you doesn’t mean I don’t respect your opinions. Unless you’re a fucking idiot, of course.
